At the pre-primary level, educational programs based on kindergarten (Froebel) philosophy and method are followed. There are well-equipped training class rooms, where the tiny tots learn in an informal way with the help of specially designed apparatus under the supervision and guidance of trained and experienced teachers. Special attention is paid to facilitate the physical, mental, emotional, and social growth of the children through a series of well-coordinated activities. There is no homework, and every child is allowed to progress at his/her own pace.
At this stage, formal teaching of academic subjects such as English, Bengali, mathematics, and environmental studies is introduced. Stress is laid on balanced and harmonious development based on a judicious mix of academics, creative art, physical education, music, dance, and drama.
At upper primary level, the subject like Hindi, General Scieneceand and Social Studies are introduced. At this stage a teacher plays a role of a mentor steering the learning process of children. A student is ready to exhibit what he has observed over the previous years.This stageincludes production, demonstration, exhibition, presentation and performances by the students.
